Corporations often have need for audio engineers.  Speakers will need to be heard by their audiences and will often require some form of microphone, mixer, amp and speaker setup.  Meetings are often recorded, and transferred to different formats for in-house distribution. 

Many companies will hire audio engineers to work on specific products (such as developing audio software or drivers).
