MIX DECONSTRUCTION 01 / Intro

CONSTRUCTING a mix is good for learning how to build sounds, but it is a long process with many "zig-zags". DECONSTRUCTING a finished mix should be better for demonstrating certain aspects of mixing such as dynamic riding. As dynamics are a very important part of my mixing, I wanted to prepare some mix deconstructions before mix constructions.

I set up a camera aimed at a screen and just talked. The audio is from the camera mic with no changes. I believe that even through the mic the important points I wanted to cover are properly communicated.

Future clips will be larger (and clearer, although I think I prefer a camera and hand gestures to screen captures and an animated pointer) and full size clips may eventually become available.
