HOW PEOPLE USE MUSIC

WHY YOU SHOULD CARE ABOUT HOW THE MUSIC YOU WORK ON IS USED

If you are making product, you can get away with analyzing and copying what is already out.  In that case any understanding of how the music is used will only be copied from what was infused in the “model”, possibly without you understanding it.  You can get lucky, or be a good enough “audio forger” to get the job done, but you are far better off understanding the music and how it will be used, and then considering how that use seems to be working in the "model"….THEN working your own version.  You may end up doing the same thing, or perhaps fulfilling similar functions in unique and innovative ways. 

The WHY of your model is as important as the WHAT, and you are best off going to the SOURCE of the why rather than just copying someone else’s interpretation and decisions.
